Overview
Kalatheeswarar Temple is devoted to Hindu God Shiva situated at Kattankulathur in Kanchipuram District of Tamilnadu. This sanctuary is arranged toward the west of GST road. This sanctuary is well known as Rahu and Kethu Sthalam. Kattankulathur is a little town on GST Road (the roadway interfacing Chennai and Trichy) situated close Neyveli (edges of Chennai). This sanctuary is viewed as proportional to that of Kalahasti sanctuary and the conviction is that it can cure issues brought on because of snake (sarpa dosham).

There are icons of different Gods and Goddesses, for example, Ganesha, Subramanya with Valli and Devasena, Vishnu, Bhairava, Durga, Brahma, Chandikeswara, Dakshinamurthy, and others. The highlight of the sanctuary is it doesn't have Navagraha (nine planets). Rather, it has two symbols of Raghu and Kethu alone. The sanctuary stays shut practically for the whole day as scarcely anybody visits this sanctuary.
