This temple has the main deity of Sri Somsundari ambal sametha and Sri somanathaswamy. The temple is located in Arthur which is situated 8 Kms from a place known as Arunuganeri railway station. The temple is about 19 Kilometers from Thiruchendur. The temple an enshrine of Sri Somsundari ambal sametha and Sri somanathaswamy who are worshipped as Swayambu lingam. The Banyan tree is known as the Sthala Vruksham and the Theertham is known as the Chandara Theertham.
