With the Uniquness of the temple, The Manikundala Sri Suryanarayana Swamy temple which is situated at Nandikotkur is quite popular among the people in the region. The temple is constrcuted by Chola Kings and is aged about 450 years old. Sun rays during the sunrise in Dhanrmasa used to touch the feet of the principal deity in the temple. Under the Guidance of Sri Mallikarjuna Rao reconsturtced the temple in 1996. The famous festival in the temple is Rathasaptami.
