Overview
Sri Veera Anjaneya Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Hanuman located at Kalambur Village in Thiruvannamalai District of Tamilnadu. The temple is situated in Kalambur which is on the way to Arani from Polur. The idol of Veera Anjaneyar is 23 feet in height and in Anjali Hastha pose (folding hands).
About The Temple
The idol of Veera Anjaneyar is 23 feet in height and in Anjali Hastha pose (folding hands). There is a Samadhi of a monkey that died of electrocution in front of the sanctum. First puja is performed to this monkey before pujas to presiding and procession deities.
Festivals
5 day Chithirai Mahalakshmi lighting festival in April-May, Purattasi Saturdays in September-October, Margazhi Hanuman Jayanthi and Vaikunda Ekadasi in December-January are the festivals celebrated in the temple.
Significance
