The Srinivasa Perumal Temple is located in South Agraharam Street and is dedicated to God Srinivasa Perumal. The Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple in Kudavasal, Tamil Nadu, is a temple dedicated to God Srinivasa. Said to be more than 400 years old, this temple has God Srinivasa with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi. All over the world, it is only in this temple that the sanctum of God Srinivasa is North - Facing. The God here is called as "Kali Yuga Varadhan". Here he is represented as a younger brother (a form) of Tirumalai Sri Srinivasar, the Perumal. The reason for the North - Facing sanctum of this temple arises from the legend that the north direction is said to be the vaasal (entrance) of Kuberan. Since Kuberan wanted the dharshan of the God every day, he requested the God to fulfill his wish. The God is said to have answered that his wish would be fulfilled in Kaliyugam. The temple owes its existence to Sri Krishna Devarayar, who wanted to spread the Hindu religion across the country. When he passed by Kudavasal he found the place to be very beautiful and at once thought it would be great place for a temple for Perumal. He discussed his desire with various Vedic Pundits and as suggested by them he first started by constructing a Pushkarani. On the day prior to commencement of the construction, Tirupathi Tirumalai, Sri Srinivasa Perumal appeared in the dream of a Vaishnavar and stated that His Divya Mangala Vighraham (idol) could be found in the Esanya Moolai part of the land under construction. The God also added that without damaging the Vighraham, they had to take it by smoothening the land by pouring milk. He also instructed that the idol be placed facing north. He is considered as the younger brother of Tirumalai Sri Srinivasar and elder brother of Sri Oppiliappan and that this temple would be considered as the great Prarthanai (prayer fulfilling) Sthalam. The Vaishnavar who had this dream informed the king and the king at once ordered to start digging the corner indicated by the God. They poured lots and lots of milk on the land to make it soft and finally they got the Divya Mangala Vighraham of Sri Srinivasa Perumal and constructed a temple for him. Every week Thirumanjanam for Sri Srinivasar - Moolavar is done on Friday. Bhakthas who cannot get the Thiru Manjana seva in Tirumalai - Tirupathi which is done on Friday, can visit this Sthalam and get the Thirumanjanai seva of Sri Srinivasar of Kudavasal, as he is considered as the brother of Tirumalai - Srinivasar. The Moolavar of this kshetram is Sri Srinivasar, who is found in Nindra thirukkolam facing His thirumugha mandalam towards north direction. The speciality is that He is facing towards north direction, which is said to be the direction of Guberan. So, bhakthas who seek wealth, can visit this sthalam. He is found along with Sri Devi and Bhooma Devi.
