Overview
Kathangi is a village located in the Arwal district of Bihar. Kathangi boasts of a historical Surya Mandir that is dedicated to the Sun God or the Surya Bhagawan. The temple design is said to be tall and consists of a splendid statue of Lord Surya. The Chhat Puja is celebrated in this village twice annually, in a grand manner. A large number of devotees from the neighbouring villages throng the place for attending the Chhatt Puja. People pray the Surya Bhagawan by offering Surya namaskaras every day in the morning.
