Devotees in Leicester is blessed with the existence of Swaminarayan temple which was opened on October 22, 1977. The temple hold the previlege of the first Swaminarayan temple which holds the prayer services for seven days a week. The temple is having the presiding deities like Shri Radha Krishna Dev, Shri Sita Ram Dev, Shri Shiv Parvathi Dev, Shri Akshar Deri and Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj.
