Overview
Thiruvachira Sri Krishna Temple is situated at Thiruvachira, Kozhikode district, Kerala. This temple is devoted to Lord vishnu. This divine Temple of Lord Krishna was constructed by none other than the great King of Zamorin who was the ruler of Kozhikode during 1400-1500. Here there is a pond which is about 4-5 acres. People feed and offer the Prasadam or food to the fishes in the Pond. There is a huge banyan tree just outside the main entrance, which sure is big and the sound it creates by the fluttering of its leaves surely has got a tune of sorts, if one is patient enough to keep his eyes closed and listen to them. This tree also doubles up as a shade from the scorching sun. Procession that are a part of traditional festivals starts here.
