The main attraction at Varadamoola is you can see the temple dedicated to Goddess Varadamba or Varadadevi. The name of River Varada indicates that it is a boon - giving river. According to the legend, it is believed that the Varada originated in the Bhagirathi water poured from his conch by Lord Vishnu on the head of Lord Shiva at Varada - moola in order to calm down the fire of austerities performed by Shiva.
