Overview
The Veerabhadra Temple is located in the Hangal town (also spelled Hanagal, Hanungal and Hungul) of Haveri district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The historic temple of Veerabhatra is located within the Hangal Fort. The temple has beautiful and intricate carvings all around it. This main deity of this temple is Lord Shiva. The temple is in a poor state and needs immediate repairs and renovation works by the archeological survey of India in order to restore its glory.
