Overview
Venkatapura is a town in the Gadag locale of Karnataka State in India, around 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from Gadag. Inside the town is the sanctuary committed to Lord Venkateshwara. The Lord Venkateshwara Temple was remodelled by Brahmananda Swami, a devotee of Gondavalekar Maharaj a sage from Gondavale, in Satara District of Maharashtra in the start of the twentieth century. As indicated by a legend, Lord Venkatesh showed in a stone set inside cowdung for a devotee, who couldn't go to pay tribute to him at Tirupati. It is proposed that sightseers ought to visit this sanctuary, which is found 15 km from Gadag, looking for serenity and endowments of Lord Venkatesh. In this sanctuary Arati is performed at 12 noon and prasad is distributed after that.
