About the Temple : The Venguneswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in Vengundram. It is only a kilometre away from Thennangur enroute to Vandavasi this Shiva temple at the highest point of a major and steep slope can be seen from the street itself.It's an intense slope to climb most piece of it don't have fitting steps. It will truly be an exciting and experiences trip for anybody to go there. Make it a point to go in a gathering or atleast least of 2 individuals and evade youngsters and matured individuals. No one and nothing is accessible at the top. It appears to be there is no cleric for the temple yet a man comes to do pooja once in a month. It is an open temple with a Shiva lingam, Murugan, Vinayagar and some different divinities. Pooja can be done by the individuals themselves. The perfect time to visit is in the early morning.
