- Before starting to write the Likitha Japam, one should first pray deities like Lord Ganapathi, Guru Bhagavan, Sri Rama and Sri Hanuman.
- It is best to start writing the Rama naamam by simultaneously saying it aloud. By doing this, the devotee reaps the benefit from both writing as well as chanting the Lord’s name.
- When writing the sacred ‘Sri Rama Jayam, one has to ensure that his mind and soul is filled with thoughts about the Lord.It is not necessary to keep count of writing or any other unwanted thoughts from disturbing the person when writing the mantra.
