Panjachanyam (பாஞ்சசன்யம் ) is a rare variety of conch that is found in the ocean.

It is said that, one sinistral shell (இடம்புரிச் சங்கு) is found where 1000 oysters(சிப்பி) are present.

One dextral shell (வலம்புரிச் சங்கு) is found where there is a collection of 1000 sinistral shells (இடம்புரிச் சங்கு).

Salanchalam (சலஞ்சலம் சங்கு ) is found where there are thousands of dextral shells (வலம்புரிச் சங்கு

The rarest of rare pancacaṉṉiyam (பாஞ்சசன்ய சங்கு) is found where there are thousands of salanchalam (சலஞ்சலம் சங்கு )

Conch is a natural instrument that reciprocates the pranava mantra. Pancacanniyam (பாஞ்சசன்ய சங்கு) reciprocates with without any flaws. This Conch is present only in Lord Krishna’s hands.
